Lita-Luise received a B.A. and a M.A. in Psychology with an Emphasis in Health Education from the University for Humanistic Studies in Solana Beach, California. After she became certified as a mind-body hypno-therapist, and a neuro-linguistics practitioner, she began in private practice as a therapist in her company, The Balance Within, in Pacific Beach, California. She then returned to school and received a Doctorate in Human Sexuality from the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. She became certified as a sex educator, erotologist, and clinical sexologist, and produced a scientific study on the Sexual Attitudes and Behaviors Among Students and Faculty of Two Holistic Schools.

Doctor Lita-Luise Chappell went into private practice as a Sexual Health Consultant and Therapist in Irvine California, specializing in therapeutic counseling for individuals, couples, and groups. Doctor Chappell was a member of several American sexual associations and organizations. She served on the Board of Directors for the Erotic Heritage Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada. She also served on the Board of Review for the International Psychology Guild of Ordo Templi Orientis, and wrote several articles for the guild’s psychology journal, as well as, expository essays, commentaries, and reviews in the field of sexuality. She traveled as a pastoral counselor advising and teaching clergy counseling methods. Lita-Luise published a non-fiction book in 2015, Sticks and Balls: a Sexologist Pokes Fun at Sports, an informative and entertaining reference guide that explores the relationship between sports and sex.

Lita-Luise Chappell was an early graduate from high school, and was taking psychology courses in her local Junior college while her friends were still in secondary school. As part of her training, she was required to keep many different types of diaries for self-analysis. She moved on to a university setting and received a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in psychology with an Emphasis in Health Education from the University for Humanistic Studies in Solana Beach, California. She also became certified as a mind-body hypno-therapist, and a neuro-linguistics practitioner, after which she went into private practice as a therapist in her own company called The Balance Within, in Pacific Beach, California. Doctor Chappell was a member of several American and international associations and organizations. The American sexual associations were: The Western Region of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, and The American College of Sexologists. She served for several years on the Board of Directors for the Erotic Heritage Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada. Doctor Chappell also traveled for six years nationally as a pastoral counselor advising and teaching clergy counseling methods in a religious setting. She served on the Board of Review for the International Psychology Guild of Ordo Templi Orientis for nearly twenty years, and contributed several articles to the guild’s psychology journal, Neshamah.

Doctor Chappell has written several articles, expository essays, commentaries, and reviews in the field of sexuality, and psychology, which can be found in newsletters, magazines, and online, with two articles translated into Portuguese. She has also spoken on two podcasts, Thelema Now and Speech in the Silence. As well, she was Vice-president and Operations Manager for Thelema Media, a multi-media publishing house specializing in works of psychology, personal freedoms, ceremonial magic, and religious-sexual mysteries. In 2015, she published a non-fiction book about sex and sports, Sticks and Balls: a Sexologist Pokes Fun at Sports (published by Templar Media), an informative and entertaining reference guide that explores the relationship between sports and sex.
